Topic:  Time Sure Flies, On A Sad Note, & January 2010 NFW High School Sports Calendar
Mon. 12/28/09~Posted By:  LesEm HillierEllsworth

Hard to believe another year has come and almost gone...WOW!!  Basketball is going well although with Christmas and illnesses and the all the hoopla around that...it's been hard to just  take a breath, sit back, and enjoy.  And now our lovely winter weather has reminded us what winter is all about with 7-10 inches of snow throughout Central IL...brrrrrr....kids love it though.  It will make for a fun time of sledding and snowman building and other outdoor activities...oh wait...do kids even play outside in the snow anymore???  Well hopefully once the holidays are all over and the New Year begins, life will calm down and more time can be devoted to writing things of more interest to those who are reading these little blurbs.  So thanks for being patient with us...we are juggling as best we can!  On a sad note, Les has a co-worker friend whose father passed away yesterday after being ill since June.  His health rapidly declined and his condition baffled Dr.'s until just 2 weeks ago when he was finally diagnosed...pancreatic cancer.  He is now gone...two weeks later and at 57 years old..so tragic and heartbreaking!!  The reason I bring this up on the website is because this man LOVED HS Football.  He went to all of the games he could, even though he had no sons.  But he had a grandson who started his first season playing the sport in grade school this year.  How very sad that he won't get to see him play in the future...he would have LOVED that I'm sure!!  Then again...he will be watching from the best seat in the stadium...a sky cam view!!  And so I'd like to dedicate today's post to John Hamilton...he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.  And to Cindi...you are the epitome of what a loving, dedicated daughter is and I am inspired by your strength and courage to never give up!!  Last of all, to the Stark County Rebels Football Team...you have lost a truly dedicated football fan and should feel honored to know your team brought so much joy to this man's life.  God Bless!!~Les of YemilyYem

Topic:  Football Is Over, Clearing Up Mistaken Identities, On With Basketball
Sun. 11/29/09~Posted By:  LesEm HillierEllsworth

We are having some issues with our blog page so until we have more time to research/upload another format, we are going to just type information on this page.  If anyone would like to comment, you can do so on the Guestbook page or send us an email from the contact page.

Football Season has ended for 2009.  We were very pleased with how hard the boys played this year.  As stated previously, they had big shoes to fill.  We considered this season a time to reorganize and hope that weaknesses found this season will be turned into strengths for next.  So congratulations on your season boys, not the best, but yet still enjoyable! :)

Now, the matter of mistaken identities and the YouTube video.  Yes, we are aware of the video and have watched it.  We actually didn't understand what it was supposed to mean.  We thought it was silly, funny, and cute.  But now we are hearing that was the wrong meaning and it was meant to be a derrogatory slam towards our Head Football Coach.  So we don't know what it means.  But here are the facts of what we DO know:

1)  We did NOT post that video on YouTube and are quite frankly tired of being asked about it.   We don't own, have access to, or otherwise regarding that video footage.  Just because we have dedicated a website to NFW Sports doesn't mean we are the ONLY ones who know how to take pictures, run a video camera, post items on a website.  So, for the final time, we did NOT post that Coachs video on YouTube...period.

2)  We RESPECT Coach Craig and what he has done for the NFW Football Team.  Does he get angry?  Yes.  Is he the only one who does?  No.  Does he get upset at games?  Yes.  Is he the only one who does?  No.  Do those things make him a bad person or terrible influence on the kids?  Certainly not....and any thoughts to the contrary are completely absurd.  We and many others are THANKFUL that our Co-op found someone who could turn our faltering Football Program around.  The NFW Football Players are dedicated to Coach Craig's program of summer practices, weight lifting, etc. and that has helped to build confidence in those who no longer had confidence.  He has made us believe again.  He has instilled the value of courage to those players who thought they could never succeed.  Anyone doubting any of those thing can easily verify them by asking a Football player.  THESE are the things that earn him as well as the rest of his Coaching Staff our respect.   Also, we would like to point out that anyone who has felt offended by that video needs to realize that it is just one person's opinion...who cares.  There are always going to be jealous, negative, and hateful people in the world but whether or not you let them into YOUR world is YOUR choice.  We choose not to let them into ours.  But we would like to suggest something to those who offer only complaints regarding the Football Program, the Coaches, etc.  Do those of us who are truly dedicated Fans a favor and stay home during Football Season.  As a matter of fact, stay home during ANY of the NFW Sporting Events.  The players have enough mountains to climb without your negativity dragging them back into the pit they've fought so hard to get out of!!

3)  We work very hard to bring this website to life and do NOT have time for any silly games that Fball4life (or whatever the name of the YouTube poster is) has time for.  Also, we take PRIDE in our work and WANT the credit for it.  That is why you will see our names at the top of each entry we post on this page.   That is why you can look at the pictures and know who we are.  We may use the name YemilyYem, but do not hide behind it, unlike the above pseudo-name user.
Ok, now that we have cleared that up, let's leave it here, forget about it, and move on.

We have now signed up for a YouTube (how ironic eh?...lol) account as we have videos we want to post  that are too large to be hosted here.  We HATE to have to do that and would rather put them here on our own website, but in order for them to be seen, we have no choice.  This site, although unlimited on how much we post, has limits on the file size of various objects.  So be looking for the YouTube links to come.  We are not sure if we will make a page just for the links to the videos, or will post the links on the various MovingPicTour pages.  We will let you know on this page what we decide to do.

Basketball has started...a little rocky for the Varsity...better for the JV.  Be watching for more on that.   Ok, that's all for now.  We hope you are enjoying the revamped site and the additions.  Keep checking back for more updates as we still have TONS to post from the past and are collecting more at every game!!~YemilyYem
